Something about Barians killing and hunting people in order to get cards known as Numbers.

The Numbers are an essential part of the Astral World's power. With them, they would destroy us easily. By that time, Astral had already managed to collect enough to throw Barian into chaos, even without his full power.

The situation was getting desperate, and we had the opportunity to try and turn the tide of the war. I think most of us would have preferred a way that didn't kill anyone, but that wasn't an option.

[pause, but not long enough for Yuto to get more than a word in. when Mizael speaks up again, his tone is considerably softer.]

Everyone who stood against us chose to be there for their friend, and they all fought valiantly.

_{[Yuto is silent for a moment, unsure of what to think of all of this.]}

What were the Numbers doing in Heartland anyway? Did that Astral also kill people in order to get them?

They weren't all in Heartland. I don't know why Astral ended up there either.

It's more complicated than that. That wasn't the condition until recently.

_{[Mizael, you're not helping. What is he supposed to think of you now.]}

...Heartland was attacked by Academia. _{[A pause.]} They are people from another dimension, that specialize in Fusion summon.

Fusion? [What do you know, it's something he recognizes.] Gongenzaka mentioned that. He said he had plans to go there. I suppose that must be why...

Academia must be stopped. [He tries to stay calm, but it's obvious in his voice that it gets more and more difficult for him to talk about this.] They hunt people as though it was some kind of game...

Do they... [wow that sounds familiar ~~Vector~~ and Mizael does not approve at all]

Well, I wish you luck in finding a way to stop them.

_{[He would thank you if only it all wasn't so complicated.]}
